International Council for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders Holds a Fun Walk to campaign on the importance of health and the thyroid gland

As part of the 4th Goiter Awareness Week Celebration, the International Council for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders (ICCIDD) conducted a fun walk last Sunday, January 24, 2009. The fun walk was a way to appeal to the consciousness of everyone the importance of thyroid health and optimal brain development through appropriate education, information dissemination and the regular use of iodized salt. With the theme, “Goiter Iwasan at Agapan sa Wastong Kaalaman”, the Fun Walk aimed to educate the people that we can fight iodine deficiency disorders in the most basic way such as using iodized salt everyday.
